Strategy for the International Activities of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage 2005-2009
Strategic goals for the international activities of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage

Through international cooperation, the Directorate for Cultural Heritage will actively contribute towards safeguarding the cultural heritage of mankind, including cultural rights and cultural diversity.

International cooperation must be a mutual learning process from which both parties benefit and gain a wider perspective.

The approach to international cooperation on cultural heritage conservation must be based on a desire for mutual exchange of knowledge, sensitivity to the political significance of the cultural heritage and the cultural understanding of the cooperation partners.
